The value of Appreciation

Hello lovelies,

Today we are going to explore the value of appreciation. What is the worth of appreciation?

Appreciation is a word everyone understands. It's something that has been taught to us while we were children, be it at home, in social settings, and even in religious gatherings. Appreciating and being appreciated goes a long way in maintaining a relationship of any kind. In an official setting, appreciating your staff for a job well done helps them put in their best in every task they are assigned and vice versa. In school, appreciating your students helps not only to build their confidence but also to encourage active participation and their eagerness to learn. As a teacher, being appreciated by parents or the school management gives the teacher the desire to put in even their best.

Whatever the dynamic, appreciation plays a crucial role in ensuring a healthy and beneficial relationship and should be something we take seriously. Appreciation doesn't necessarily have to be about giving material things. A sincere appreciation goes a long way and has almost the same effect. The good thing is that we all know when someone sincerely appreciates it.

Now when it comes to relationships, appreciation plays a very crucial role in the sustainability and longevity of good relationships. We must learn to dish out appreciation willingly and sincerely. There's always something to appreciate in our partner. Sometimes, challenges, indifference, and constant comparison make it look like there's nothing worth appreciating in our partners. But there's always something to appreciate. Start with the little things.

To truly know the value of appreciation, ask yourself how you feel when people appreciate you genuinely. The feeling is so good, intoxicating, and quite addictive. People thrive when appreciated. Learn to give out appreciation constantly and genuinely, especially to your partner. Look for little things and appreciate them about it. If you find it difficult to tell them face to face, you could write it down and put it where they can easily find it. Make sure your sincerity could be felt from that piece of paper. Say it the way you wish someone would say it to you and watch your relationship grow in leaps and bounds.

Until we connect again, let your words be the light that brightens someone's day! Stay beautiful and blessed.
