Be intentional with forgiveness

It is often said that forgiveness is essential for healthy relationships, and that is on period! There's no relationship without forgiveness. When it comes to the fairytale lifestyle, forgiveness is a must.

I know it is hard for many, but one thing I have learned about forgiveness is that the more you practice it, the easier it becomes to forgive. There's no benefit to holding on to grudges. So why punish yourself? Life is too short to hold on to things that make you sad, angry, and bitter. Forgiveness sets us free. It lifts an invisible load off our shoulders. That is, perhaps, the most powerful benefit of forgiveness. This brings to mind a saying that love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.

You have to be intentional with forgiveness. Tell yourself that you would forgive everyone that wronged you immediately. You cannot enjoy your relationship if you don't learn to forgive your partner. I mean wholeheartedly, as in not bringing it up in every argument in order to prove your point. The fairytale lifestyle is one where every morning, you are choosing to hold on to the good and letting go of the bad. You have just this one relationship to experience happily ever after, then give it your best. There's no one to impress, no audience to explain to. Just you and your partner. Just one person you have to be vulnerable with, so what's the need to hold back? What's the worst that can happen?

We all want the fantasy kind of relationship we only see in movies but dare not believe it's possible. But my dear friends, it is very possible. Don't forget, whatever the mind can conceive, the heart can achieve. If it is out there, then it is a reality. Be courageous enough to get the life you need. You only have this lifetime to live; be selfish enough to make it the best.

Here's a simple task to do. Think of anyone who you have a grudge with. Call and tell them you've forgiven them.

That's a wrap for now. Let’s make memories in the meantime and keep the spirit of a fairytale alive.
